What is Beyond 8?

Beyond 8 is a learner-designed alternative to high school. We guide teenagers to college on accredited Cambridge and NIOS pathways combined with mentoring, internships, and projects.

Who is Beyond 8 for?

Ambitious, self-driven learners who want to pursue passions while preparing for university. Supported by families who value independence, creativity, and confidence.

How is Beyond 8 different from a regular school?

In most schools, adults take primary responsibility for a child’s learning by designing the structure, setting the pace, and directing the work. At Beyond 8, learners gradually learn to take responsibility for their own work and choices. Mentors provide the structure, guidance, and accountability needed to do this well, through close 1:1 support, personalised timetables, and regular reflection. This shift helps learners move from compliance to ownership, while still being held to high academic and personal standards

What curriculum does Beyond 8 offer?

Learners pursue Cambridge International and NIOS credentials, both widely recognised for university admissions in India and abroad

Is Beyond 8 a recognised school?

No. Beyond 8 is not recognised under state or central boards. Learners take Cambridge and NIOS credentials, which are accepted on par with students from high schools for university admissions.

Who recognises Beyond 8 as a leading player?

Beyond 8 is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) and by Cambridge as an Associate. We are also one of only eight programs worldwide endorsed for Responsible AI in Learning (RAIL) by MSA. Our program design was submitted in 2020 to Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) and both Naveen and Raaji presented it to their Academic Dean, Dr. Martin West.

What does a typical day look like at Beyond 8?

A day balances academics, mentoring, peer collaboration, and independent pursuits. Schedules are flexible enough to integrate personal interests, sports, arts, music, and even internships.

Does Beyond 8 support extracurricular pursuits like sports or arts?

Yes. Sports, arts, music, writing, coding, and most other interests are built into personalised timetables with mentor support.

How do internships work at Beyond 8?

Learners pursue interest-led internships and projects with partner organisations. These become key parts of their portfolios for college applications.

Enrolment

How do admissions work?

Enrolment begins with our enquiry form. Families meet our team and explore alignment. If the match is right, the learner joins a small cohort with a personal mentor.

Is Beyond 8 worth it?

Families value Beyond 8 for its mentoring, flexibility, and outcomes. We maintain transparent enrolment and refund policies, shared clearly during the process.

How many learners do you enrol each year?

We admit only a limited number annually to preserve 1:1 mentoring and micro-cohorts.

Will my teenager be able to get into college after Beyond 8?

Yes. All our learners progress to recognised universities in India and abroad, supported by accredited curricula, portfolios, and mentoring. So far over 100 learners have progressed to University from Beyond 8.

What kind of colleges recognise Beyond 8’s accreditation?

Cambridge and NIOS credentials are accepted worldwide, including top universities in India, the US, Europe, and beyond. Our learners have progressed to the best Universities (with scholarships) both in India and abroad.

Is Beyond 8 a school?

No. Beyond 8 is not a registered school. It is a post-Grade-8 program that supports teenagers through accredited pathways, mentoring, and internships, all the way to university.

As Beyond 8 is not a school, what rules and regulations apply to it?

Beyond 8 is operated by Nimble Kits Pvt Ltd, governed by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Accreditation and examinations are secured through Cambridge and NIOS.
