At Beyond 8,learners gather online, in physical spaces such as libraries, museums, docked ships, and even in outdoor spaces, thus learning from real life experiences and applications. Learning happens everywhere, not just in class rooms.
It is important to acknowledge the value of experiential learning. A typical school classroom gives little or no new stimuli. Your children will learn when they engage with real life applications, and have real life experiences. And they'll learn when they are interested or passionate about the subject, not when it is thrust upon them without reasoning.
To enable experiential learning, Beyond 8 adapts a distributed learning model where learning happens at many spaces. These include online, formal office spaces with trusted businesses, in embassy libraries, in co-working spaces, and even in cool spaces such coffee shops, malls, on docked ships, or botanical gardens. Our learners learn in their homes too with us.
In any given week, our learning pods (groups of learners) will typically gather 2 days online, 2 days at learning spaces and 1 day in a public space, all of which will be planned and scheduled well in advance.
On request, we can arrange transport to and from the distributed learning spaces through our transportation partners. Due to COVID, however, we are currently in remote-only learning mode.
